I’M NOT DEAD — YET

by Gary Young
(Hood River OR)

I’M NOT DEAD — YET

I’m not dead — Yet…
The world is closing in on me

I have things to do — Yet…
Maybe, I’ll leave it up to you

But, it’s here I want to remain — Yet…
I’ll soon be through with struggle & pain

What comes next, I have no clue — Yet…
I’m tired and each day question if I’ll get through

I wonder how long I will continue to be — Yet…
I read obits of many younger than me.

I hate that this life will soon be over — Yet…
I’m thankful for the life I had,
and especially for you,————Rover
