Anti-aging skin care

Anti-aging skin care is important at all ages but especially after age 40. Your skin, especially the skin on the backs of your hands and on your face is where 'early signs of aging' show. BUT good skin care can make for younger, vibrant skin tone.

What to do: Moisturize, moisturize and moisturize some more. . Dr. Angelo Cuzalina suggests adding moisturizing creams or serums to your daily and nightly routine. This will keep your skin from  developing the 'dry look' that happens to so many older persons.

It is your face where a 'dry look' often develops first. And if you have spent a lot of time in the sun, your skin may get a leathery appearance. Some people develop brown spots, popularly called 'liver spots'. And of course wrinkles  begin to appear! These are common  signs of aging skin. But all is not lost.

Good skin habits can slow these changes. You may not be able to prevent these changes but you can slow them AND new research even shows that you can  improve your skin even if it is already damaged.  Age spots can fade and wrinkles smooth out.

A well known model Gabrielle von Canal has been active long after most women retire from the field. She attributes much of her staying power to her daily Anti-aging skin care program. While you may not be aiming to walk down a fashion runway or to be pictured in magazine ads for cosmetics, you can have more youthful looking skin if you take the time to care for it.
